1986 Brock/Moffat Australian Touring Cars Commodore
Here it is during Friday qualifying for the ‘86 James Hardie 1000 at Bathurst . For obvious reasons, they started down the grid on Sunday ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ). They got it up to second, then lost 3 laps to an oil cooler problem, eventually finishing 5th. So it doesn’t have a great Bathurst pedigree, but Brock and Moffat were the Holden golden boys of their era, and they only shared a car for one season. So to Holdenistas of a certain age, this is basically the God/Jesus car.
Estimated to go for around US$1.5M.

Though in this instance you have impeccable taste. The early Mobil-era Brock cars, before he lost factory backing, were the best of the racing Commodores in my opinion.
